Join the Mississauga Library System's Teen ANIME Club!

Are you a closet otaku fan who enjoys reading manga in dark corners? Do you cosplay at conventions? Do you enjoy making your own Manga/Anime fanart and posting them on Deviantart? Do you have an entire wallspace that holds large volumes of your favourite Anime?

If you enjoy any of these activities plus others related to Manga/Anime, join our Teen Anime Club at the Mississauga Central Library!

What takes place in the Teen Anime Club?
-Discuss anything Manga/Anime-related and swap your unwanted Manga/Anime items with other club members!
-Meet new otaku friends within the club.
-Prepare for upcoming conventions and share ideas on cosplay costumes!
-Take part in collaborative Manga Art Jams!
-Recommend new Manga/Anime titles to the library collection!
-Monthly Anime viewings!
-Meet special guests!

The MLS Teen Anime Club is for the ages 13-18. Meetings are bi-weekly and run for two hours.

Sign-up starts in mid-August and the first meeting will be on Thursday September 11th at 7:00PM.

Hi there! I'm someone who really loves reading manga and drawing my own doujinshis...! I've gone to Anime North for the past four years and can probably name one manga or anime for every letter of the alphabet...!

Though I'd love to join your club, I doubt that I'd be able to attend meetings due to the fact that I'll be attending university this Fall. But, I'd love to put in a list of mangas that I wish the library would have and other things that you need...! Thank you! I hope things work out!

We would love to hear your Manga suggestions. Pass them along through this blog or get in touch with Mary DaSilva at the Central Library, Reader's Den Department.

If you know any friends that love Anime and Manga, let them know about this club. Membership is FREE! If this club becomes a success, hopefully it'll be around for next summer.
